Hello everybody!I see I´m the first one.It´s a pleasure to share my comments with you again!I have just listened to maria Carey´s song and I chose this passage to talk about:"So,when you feel like hope is gone look inside you and be strong and you´ll finally see the truth,that a hero lies in you.
ResponderEliminarI think this is connected to what I wrote in the previous topic on this blog about self-esteem.What is more,it is related to what Liliana asked me:how did I overcome that situation in my childhood?And my answer is that at the age of ten my childhood changed.That year and the two next ones were great for me because I made a lot of friends at school and some of them are my best friends now.In those years,I met with them every afternoon,we used to play video games and spotrs like tennis,basketball and football.It was a great change for me in comparison with some years before,It was a positive process I made but the only person that decided so was me.I did as the song says,I looked inside of me and found that not everything was so bad,that at least I had to try to make my best to overcome that low self esteem,I did it and I didn´t regret doing so.

It is so good to read your comment Cristian! What really amazes me is the fact that you were able to have the wisdom and the strength to redirect your life at such short age! That proves that "a hero lies in you" and that certainty will probably support you for the rest of your life.

ResponderEliminarI love working with songs. “Hero” it is a very famous one and besides it is easy to understand so here it is my commentary:
To begin with, I believe the “hero” Maria mentions that is inside us, is our self esteem or as it appears in the dictionary it is our confidence in our abilities and values. In my opinion, everyone has a hero because we are born with it, and the people around us and the situations we go through in life influence it.
Secondly, I think the song is really useful for those moments in which you are down, sad or hopeless because there it is said there is always an answer in us that helps us to face the most difficult situations in life. Like some important philosophers also say, the truth and the strength is inside each person, in his or her soul. However, it is not easy to discover them because as Maria says “it’s a long road” and you sometimes may be alone. Nevertheless, it isn’t impossible.
So, to sum up, after listening to the song my piece of advice to you, friends, is that you shouldn’t forgot there is a hero inside you! Don’t let anyone to shadow it. On the contrary, make it shine, show it to everybody and be strong! In that way, I’m sure your life will be easier and you will enjoy it.
Hi everyone! How a beautiful song! Every time I listen to it I feel as if a great strength and hope come to my body. I don´t know why!
ResponderEliminarWell, the phrase that had a positive effect on me was: “… You don´t have to be afraid of what you are…” I strongly believe that it´s true, that if you really know who you are or who you want to be, fears will disappear. So, I think, as the song said, that whenever you feel alone you have to look inside and something or someone will help you survive, that´s your hero! But this happens only if you are not frightened of the person you are. You have to be sure and then you will progress! Show yourself all you have!
Hi! I think "Hero" is an amazing song! Every time I listen to it, it encourages me. In my opinion the lyrics of the song are right because everyone has the strength it is needed to overcome the difficult situation in life. The only thing we need is to have faith in ourselves. Of course, it is not easy, but we can find the way. Mariah, through her song, raises our hopes, telling us that we can cast our fears aside, because a hero lies in us and we will be able to “survive.”

The part I've chosen is the following: "And then a hero comes along with the strength to carry on". Why? Because it expresses the attitude we should have to face problems. I think we are our own heroes, because we are the only ones able to get up and go on. In occasions in which we are sad or hopeless, many people can give you pieces of advices or try to cheer you up, but at the end everything depends on you. You are your hero and you are the only one who knows what you need to carry on!!
What's up guys? I really like your comments about this song mates.I've never stopped too think what the word hero really means.To my mind, there isn't one hero, we are all heros because we have strength to deal with any problem that life will put in our path. We learn through different experiences in life how to cast our fears inside. Another important things to mention is that we are the only ones who can choose what we want to do in life, so as the songs want to tell us "don't let anyway tells you your way" The only thing that you should follow is the "voice" that comes from the inside.
ResponderEliminarThe last but not the least, I would like to comment on this part of the song " Lord knows dreams are hard to follow..." Well, dreams are part of everyone's lives. I count dreams as challenges in life I will never give up until I fulfill all my dreams, no matter how long it'll last.
So, a piece of advice for you. Fight for your accomplishing your dreams because when all of them come true it makes you feel great.

ResponderEliminarHi everyone! Cinthy I really like your words! Thanks a lot! I go along with you, the only way we can succeed in life is to fight for what we want. In this song we can find a deep message. It can help a lot whoever is in need. The most meaningful parts as for me are “ you don´t have to be afraid of what you are...”, because I definitely support those who stand for their own feelings and thoughts. We have to state our ideas and strongly defend what we want for us And the other interesting line is “...and when a hero comes along, with the strength to carry on, and you cast your fears aside, and you know you can survive...” because you know that it´s very difficult to face situations as you may think it´s too much for you but if you look inside yourself there is everything you need to overcome problems. Each of us has strength enough to go for everything we want. We just have to trust ourselves that we can do it! And what´s more we know that it is exactly that what we really want for us. I always remember these words “ There is no star out of reach!!!!” I´ve listened to this expression in a Celine Dion´s song and I repeat it whenever I face a difficult situation. I really hope you are always strong to fullfil your dreams!!!!

Hello! well, after paying attention to the lyrics of the song, I could really understand the meaning of "Hero". I have listened to it a lot of times but I have never payed really attention to it. Anyway, the part of the song I like the most is this:

I found this part very usefull. It is something we should take into account when we have to go through some difficult situaiton, because as Loly said, WE are the ones who have to take control of the situation. Of course there may be a lot of pieces of advice from people who is arround us, but if we don't look inside ourselves and try to find our own asnwer to the problem, all the pieces of advice would be useless. And when we finally are able to "survive" to the difficult situation, we will feel as if we were real idols or HEROS.
