WELCOME CLASS!!!!!

Hi everybody!!! I'm so happy to start this blog with you! I hope it will be a chance for us all to share ideas, thoughts and learn a bit more about who we are. Ah! by the way, we will also work here.

In this first encounter, I would like to share this tought with you, which I think is powerful:

"When it rains on you, dont just get drenched and curse the rain....Instead be like the spider web that has gathered the raindrops and made a beautiful garland out of it.....You have the magic to create happiness out of anything..."

We have the magic to create a meaningful and joyful learing experience out of this year together

Let's share what you think about it. Post your comments! Liliana

  1. Hey! The first one!!!
Well, I go along with Liliana. This message is powerful and really beautiful. I reckon our life is a garland and every drop of rain is a person or moment that left a mark and helped us grow. It doesn't matter if they are new or old, nice or bad; since they are part of our identity we should hang them on a garland and remember them.
And I want to add that my new friends from the Instituto are part of my garland!! THANK U SO MUCH!!!

  2. Definitely!!!! Every moment, every person we encounter has a teaching for us. Personally speaking, I should say that those around me contribute a lot in my experience of life, even those who are not so close to me... As the spider that takes advantage of every drop to make a garland, we all should make our own garland out of every knowledge we can gather from each other!!! Thank you all!!!!

  4. Bibi, what you say is true to me too. We can learn something from almost everyone we encounter in life. It's probably a question of being alert and open to new experiences. One of the nice things about the teaching profession is that most of your work is developed withing a community of learners and you are part of it! Thanks for writing!

  5. Hello!! I definitely agree with the girls. I think it is a beautiful thing in the world that of creating something GOOD from something BAD.. It could be the key to success: to face all the problems you have in the best way, accepting other´s help and support, and also rewarding them in the same way.
Like Loli, luckily the girls from the Institute have became my friends too! we has comform a good team! So, obviously, they are part of my life!
    bye!

  6. I go along with you girls. I can honestly say that I have gone through different situations which made me grow in different aspects of my life.. I strongly believe that we have to take into account all the things we have experienced, in order to learn something from those moments, and to “create happiness” out of them. After all, bad situations, or “raindrops” are usually very helpful to make us realize about the importance that tiny things have on our lifes.

  7. My guess is that generally, when something bad happens to us, we tend to see the negative side of it and to think in a pessimist way, forgetting that everything has also a bright side. We just need to be more positive and optimist. In that way, we will be able to make good things out of bad situations.
Besides, as we commented in class, we may not have the power over a lot of things in our life but we may have the magic to create happiness out of anything!

  8. Hi everyone! I could finally get into the blog lol. Well I must say that I completely agree with this fact. WE SHOULD CREATE OUR OWN GARLAND out of every experience we have in our lives. I have been studying at a teacher training college for many years, as you know, and I must say that I've learned a lot of things from all the classmates I had the opportunity to meet and get to know, some were good and some others not so good but anyway they all help me to grow up and realize that if we want something badly we should work hard to achieve our goal which to be great english teachers! Before finishing I'd like to say that I'm really glad to have you all as my classmates guys. You are such a great team as Luz wrote. I'm sure that I will learn a lot of things from you. I hope you like my comment, it was kind of long but I'm just feeling really inspired now. see ya soon. Cinty

  9. Hello everybody! This is the first time i enter into the blog.I consider this a great opportunity for us to keep discussing things içoutside the classroom and also to know each other better.I think this is going to be a good year,or at least I hope so.I go along with Liliana. The fact that we can crate happiness out of everything is true, because it is a decision we take, dispete the great difficultias there are around us.They are like stones or "raindrops" but the ability to look them as opportunities to becmoçe stronger i life by dealing with them is what make us more successful and able to achive the goals we want.

  11. Hi Valentina! I couldn't agree more with you! If you take the time to look at raindrops really close you will realize they are all beautiful and different from each other. Just like experiencies in life! They are all different and no matter how hard, there's always something to learn from them.
That's the way to go in life Vale!

  12. Florencia, nice thoughts!!! I guess we should make a point of trying to be more optimistic and positive about life in general. You should remind us of that in the class!
    Keep going!

  15. Hi! I've thinking about the pictures. They are really beautiful! They made me think about the things that had happened in our lives. Some of them are happy memories and others are difficult moments that had left deep scars on us. The important thing is to learn to take advantage of these scars, becouse, however difficult it could be, they are the ones that makes us stronger and happier.

  16. Hi Fabiola! Nice thoughts! I agree with you on that scars, no matter how deep or painful, make us grow and mature. That is, of course, if you are willing to learn from them.
